Sixth-year seminarians Tien Tran, Peter Nguyen (on February 27, 2022 at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne) and Kanishka Perera (on February 6, 2022 at St Mary’s Cathedral, Hobart) were admitted to Candidacy for Holy Orders by their respective Archbishops.
During this rite, the Church joyfully accepts the candidates who publicly declare their will to offer themselves as Deacons and Priests to serve the Lord and His people.
“Do you resolve to complete your preparation so that in due time, through holy orders, you will be prepared to assume ministry within the Church?”
and
“Do you resolve to prepare yourselves in mind and spirit, to give faithful service to Christ the Lord, and His Body: the Church?”
