Sixth-year Corpus Christi College seminarian, Huy Nguyen, has been ordained as a deacon for the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

In May 2020 the late Barry Nunn left a bequest to Corpus Christi College in memory of the late Dr. Peter Cross, priest of the Archdiocese of Melbourne. The bequest is for the purpose of an annual lecture to facilitate the education of seminarians in ecumenical knowledge, understanding and thinking. This year’s speaker is Archbishop Philip Freier.

This is the official annual magazine of Corpus Christi College, Vivere. This was distributed to parishioners in parishes across Victoria visited by seminarians on Good Shepherd or Vocations Sunday. We wish, however, to make this magazine available to all parishioners online.

ELEVEN seminarians were recently instituted as Lectors or Acolytes in the seminary Church of Sacred Heart Carlton. Jackson Saunders writes more.

Fr Ed Moloney joined the six first-year seminarians for various activities on Saturdays, as they began their seminary journey at the start of the year. Amidst the fourth lockdown in Victoria, first-year Melbourne seminarian, Jordan McBroom, takes a few moments to look back on these opportunities to bond with his year-mates as they respond to the call to discern the priesthood more deeply at the seminary.

It was a great day at Corpus Christi College Seminary on Pentecost Sunday with the launch of the Knights of the Southern Cross Archbishop’s Dinner for the Priests Support and Education Fund. Andrew Vaccaro writes more.

About 20 young men attended an enquiry day at the seminary last Saturday. The occasion provided an opportunity to reflect on a possible call to the priesthood.
