Samuel Pearson recounts the recent visit of Catholic War Veterans to the Seminary.
Members of the Catholic War Veterans Association joined the seminary community for the annual Mass and luncheon on Sunday, 22 October, 2017.
The occasion was an opportunity to pray for living and deceased war veterans, and acknowledge their historic and continued support to the seminary.
Fr Anil Mascarenhas, recently ordained for the Melbourne Archdiocese, was the principal celebrant at the Mass, while Fr Marcus Goulding, ordained earlier this year in June, preached the homily.
After Mass the Catholic War Veterans and their families enjoyed lunch with the seminarians, which included the presentation by the Catholic War Veterans, to the newly ordained, of bursary funds to help them in their ministry.
The lunch concluded with college Rector Very Rev. Denis Stanley, thanking the veterans for their ongoing support of the seminary, which dates back to 1936.
