Samuel Pearson recounts the recent visit of our Episcopal Trustees to the Seminary.
The seminary community was joined again by the Archbishops and Bishops of our many dioceses for our closing year Trustees Mass. It is an opportunity for the seminarians, staff and seminary benefactors to come together with our Bishops to celebrate Mass and share a meal.
Archbishop Porteous was the main celebrant, while Bishop Peter Elliot delivered the homily. Our Archbishops and Bishops also had the opportunity to meet and discuss the current state of the seminary and to plan for the future direction of our regional seminary.
During the lunch, Bishop Leslie Tomlinson of Sandhurst announced that Fr Cameron Forbes (Melbourne), would become the new Vice Rector of the college, Fr Thinh Nguyen (Melbourne), would continue as Formator and Fr Jake Mudge (Sandhurst), would join the seminary community as Pastoral Formator, in addition to duties as Lecturer in Pastoral Studies at Catholic Theological College.
