On Friday 22, July 2022, William Lowry and Matthew Restall were ordained by Bishop Paul Bird CSsR in front of family and friends at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Ballarat.
The newly-ordained priests celebrated their Thanksgiving Mass on Saturday 23, July in the parishes at St James’ Church, Sebastopol (Fr William Lowry) and St Alipius Church, Ballarat East (Fr Matthew Restall).
Fr Lowry will join as Assistant Priest in the Star of the Sea Parish, South West Coast. Fr Restall will join as Assistant Priest in Saint Paul VI Parish, Wimmera-Mallee.
